The gentle Edwardian ambience of Ellersly House and its convenient location in west, central Edinburgh make it the perfect place to celebrate your wedding.
At the Ellersly House Hotel we specialise in weddings, which is reflected in the care and attention we give to every Bridal Party. Your happiness and peace of mind for your Wedding Day is as important to us as it is to you. Ourbeautifully appointed suites, can accommodate up to 120 guests for your wedding breakfast and up to 150 evening guests. For smaller weddings our smaller rooms can accommodate up to 60 guests
for a wedding breakfast in a more intimate surrounding.
With a range of 57 Single, Twin/Double and Executive bedrooms, including 5 family rooms, we would be delighted to accommodate you and your guests. We have reduced accommodation rates for wedding guests.
We can help you plan your menus, drinks, rooms and the timings for your wedding party. Our chefs will help you choose your own food from our many freshly prepared menu options.
We understand that this is a very big day for you, so we will do all we can to help ensure your wedding is a fantastic success and your expectations are exceeded. Every detail will be tailored to meet your precise requirements, wherever possible.
The Ellersly room comfortably seats 40 at individual tables or 28 for a formal dinner round a dining room table. The Ellersly is a tastefully decorated private room, with an original Edwardian fireplace and delightful views of the garden, ideal for your wedding reception or wedding breakfast.

There is a large garden with a lawn at the rear of the Hotel which provides some great backdrops for photographs, and big enough for children to let off steam.
The tables can be cleared away for partying on the Ellersly’s wooden dance floor. We also offer the following special touches:
- Printing menus, place cards and table plan
- Your Master of Ceremonies or Toastmaster
- Cake stand and knife
- Overnight accommodation for the Bride and Groom with late check out at 12.00 noon
