The Ellersly’s Gentle Edwardian ambience

The gentle Edwardian ambience of Ellersly House and its convenient location in west, central Edinburgh make it the perfect place to celebrate your wedding.

The Ellersly House Hotel specialises in small, bespoke wedding receptions and parties. The Hotel is ideal for family weddings with about 20 to 50 guests in its Ellersly Room, and young children are always very welcome here.

With a range of 57 City, Classic and Premier bedrooms [link to intro bedroom page], including 5 family rooms, we would be delighted to accommodate you and your guests.We have reduced accommodation rates for wedding guests.

We can help you plan your menus, drinks, rooms and the timings for your wedding party. Our chefs will help you choose your own food from our many freshly prepared menu options (link to menus). Danielle, our talented German pastry chef, can even bake your wedding cake if required.

We understand that this is a very big day for you, so we will do all we can to help ensure your wedding is a fantastic success and your expectations are exceeded. Every detail will be tailored to meet your precise requirements, wherever possible.

The Ellersly room comfortably seats 40 at individual tables or 28 for a formal dinner round a dining room table. The Ellersly is a tastefully decorated private room, with an original Edwardian fireplace and delightful views of the garden, ideal for your wedding reception or wedding breakfast.

There is a large garden with a lawn at the rear of the Hotel which provides some great backdrops for photographs, and big enough for children to let off steam.

The tables can be cleared away for partying on the Ellersly’s wooden dance floor.
